Men try to kick post office door down in third attack
Three men tried to kick the door of a post office down in the third attack on the business in a year.
The men were caught on Darlaston Post Office's CCTV cameras trying to get into the premises at around 1.40am this morning.
The owner of the Victoria Road post office, Raj Badhan, said over the last year his business has been attacked three times now.
The first time it was broken into, the suspects got away with £4,000 worth of cigarettes, and in the second break-in the suspects with less than £100 in change.
In the most recent attack, the men did not get into the premises.
Mr Badhan said: "This is the third time in a year this has happened, the first two times they actually got in.
"After the first break in we had a smoke cloak installed so they didn't get away with a lot the second time it was broken into."
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "We are investigating a reported break-in at a post office on Victoria Road in Darlaston, which is believed to have occurred in the early hours of this morning."
