Knife crime to be discussed in Darlaston
Concerns about knife crime are set to be discussed at a meeting in Walsall tonight.
The news comes after a number of incidents involving knives in recent weeks, including when a 16-year-old was left in a serious condition after he was attacked in Darlaston earlier this month.
Councillor Doug James, for Darlaston South, will hold a meeting to engage with local people and listen to concerns over recent knife crime, other crime and community safety issues in Darlaston.
Councillor James said: "Through liaison with local primary schools, police and youth agencies, the meeting will address how local stakeholders have responded to knife crime, and involve local people in sharing their concerns."
This is the first of a series of local community meetings being arranged by Councillor James.
The meeting will be held from 7pm at the Old Church Primary School.
