Gang of four strike in BMW carjacking in Coseley

A gang of carjackers are being hunted by police after stealing a BMW in the Black Country.

Police have now launched an appeal after it is reported up to four offenders struck in Sangwin Road, in Coseley, shortly before 9am today.

The victims, who have not been identified, were assaulted by the four thieves and had their BMW car stolen from them.

Their injuries are not known.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "A member of the public reported up to four offenders approaching three people who are believed to be eastern European and assaulting them. They then took a BMW.

"The victims have not yet been identified and enquiries are under way."
