Ex-community police officer of the year admits making indecent images of child
A former Pc who was named community police officer of the year has admitted making indecent images of a child.
Paul Davies, who worked for West Midlands Police in Dudley, today pleaded guilty to making five indecent images of a child between March 12 and April 15 last year.
The charges relate to screenshots taken of a teenage girl.
The 57-year-old worked as a 'young persons officer' at the time of the offences, Walsall Magistrates' Court heard this morning.
He was named West Midlands Community Police Officer of the Year in 2009.
Davies, of Thoresby Croft, Upper Gornal, Dudley, was given bail and told to appear back at Walsall Magistrates' Court on February 7.
