Arrest made after woman attacked and car driven into front of Black Country house
A man has been arrested on suspicion of attacking a woman after driving a car into the front of her Black Country home.
Police were called to Kent Road, Stourbridge, at 7.40am today to reports that a woman was being assaulted.
The suspect ran from the scene, hiding in nearby gardens near St James's Primary School.
He was spotted a short time later making threats to harm himself, before he was arrested near the scene of the original attack on Kent Road.
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "The incident is being treated as an isolated domestic-related incident.
“The suspect, 27, was taken to hospital with superficial self-inflicted injuries and has been arrested on suspicion of assault.
“The woman is being supported by officers and was not seriously injured.”
