Knife-wielding robbers strike at Wednesbury betting shop

Masked robbers welding knives threatened staff in a Wednesbury betting shop before making off with cash.

Up to four men entered the Coral betting shop in King Street, on December 12 and threatened staff.

The staff members were left shaken but unhurt in the incident which happened at around 8.20pm.

Police are now appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

A spokeswoman for West Midlands Police said: "Police are investigating an armed robbery at Coral, King Street, Darlaston, at around 8.20pm on December 12.

"Up to four masked men, some who were carrying knives, entered the shop and threatened staff before making off with cash. Staff were left shaken but unhurt."
