Suspect poachers arrested on Penkridge farm

TWO men have been arrested on suspicion of poaching - after police searched a farm in Penkridge.

Officers were called to a Stafford farm at around 9.25pm on Monday following reports of poachers on the land.

With the help of the National Police Air Service, two men were quickly found and arrested.

Police also discovered a nearby car containing several dead rabbits and lamps.

A 32-year-old man, from Telford, and a 22-year-old man, from Pershore, were arrested on suspicion of poaching.

Both men remain in police custody and enquiries are on-going.

During the incident, two injured dogs were also seized and a vet was called to the scene.
