Fourth suspect arrested after man stabbed to death in Dudley street
A fourth person has been arrested after a man was stabbed to death in the street in Dudley.
A grey van ploughed into the back of the Ford Fiesta sending it smashing through the front of Golden City takeaway in Lower Gornal on Tuesday night.
Shortly afterwards a 34-year-old man was found critically injured in nearby Central Drive.
The stabbing victim and another man, who managed to escape, were chased and attacked by an armed gang after the crash happened at about 9.40pm.
A 20-year-old man was arrested in West Bromwich on Wednesday night on suspicion of murder together with a 21-year-old woman who was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
They remain in police custody for questioning.
Three people who were arrested on suspicion of murder on Tuesday night have since been released pending further investigation.
Detective Inspector Jim Colclough, from the force’s homicide unit, said: “These arrests are another positive step but we are still working hard to piece together what took place on Tuesday night.
“We would encourage anyone who has any information which they believe would assist our investigation to get in touch.
“We have stepped up patrols in the area to reassure members of the community."
