90-year-old threatened by raiders as he watches TV
A 90-year-old man has been left shaken after he was threatened with a screwdriver .
Officers from Staffordshire Police were alerted to a report that an unknown man had entered an elderly man's home in Great Wyrley on Tuesday at 9pm.
The pensioner was watching TV when four men gained entry, with one man telling him to sit still and threatening with the screwdriver while others searched his property.
The culprits left empty-handed and now the force has released a CCTV image of a person caught on camera after the home was broken into.
The force are also asking for help identifying him in relation to another home which was broken into at The Gables, Essington, at around 8.30pm.
Officers received a report an unknown man with a torch approached a side gate to a house.
The occupant disturbed the man who fled the scene with three other offenders in hooded tops.
Officers believe that the two incidents are linked and are particularly interested in a VW Passat estate that may have been seen nearby during both incidents.
A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: "Anyone with information, or may have seen something suspicious or the VW Passat estate, is asked to email Richard.Williams@staffordshire.pnn.police.uk."
