West Bromwich bar licence suspended after death of customer amid murder probe
A West Bromwich bar has had its licence suspended after a murder investigation was launched following the death of a customer.
Daniel Pelechacz was discovered unconscious in Temple Street, West Bromwich, in the early hours of September 30 and died of his injuries two days later.
The 40-year-old, from Wednesbury, had been at the Klimate Polski Bar before he was found injured.
Three men, aged 30, 35 and 39, have since been arrested on suspicion of murder and bailed pending further inquiries.
Councillors are being asked to revoke the licence of the club by a senior officer from West Midlands Police, who said that in his opinion the premises is associated with "serious crime".
Members of Sandwell Council's licensing committee will hear an application on Wednesday
The club's licence was temporarily suspended by a sub-committee on October 12.
Police have continued to appeal for information one month on from Mr Pelechacz's death.
