Kevin Shepperson: Third arrest over Willenhall flat murder
A third man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and released pending further investigation in relation to the death of Kevin Shepperson.
The 39-year-old was found by a friend with his hands and feet tied and a belt around his neck, an inquest heard.
He died of multiple injuries at the scene, a post mortem concluded.
Forensic officers returned to scene of the crime recently.
Mr Shepperson had not been seen for several days before the discovery of his body at his flat in Bloxwich Road South, Willenhall, on August 22, said Mr Zafar Siddique, the Black Country Coroner.
There were signs of a struggle at the flat of the Walsall-born victim and an ‘untidy search’ had been made, the inquest heard.
Two men have since appeared in court accused of Mr Shepperton’s murder.
Cameron MacKenzie, of Richmond Street, Chuckery, and Wayne Kendall, of Bloxwich Road South, Willenhall, both aged 21, have been remanded in custody and are due to enter pleas to the murder charge when they appear at Wolverhampton Crown Court on Monday.
