Man, 22, denies carrying out string of Bridgnorth burglaries

A 22-year-old man has denied being responsible for a string of burglaries in Bridgnorth.

Kallum Smith, of Garden Villages, Highley, pleaded not guilty to six charges when he appeared at Shrewsbury Crown Court.

Smith is accused of one charge of theft, of a set of keys between July 4 and July 7.

He faces four charges of burglary.

The first relates to items taken from The Croft Guesthouse, Bridgnorth, between July 5 and 8, the second to a burglary at Stoneway Guest House, also in Bridgnorth, between July 14 and 17.

The third and fourth counts relate to incidents at properties in Castle Street and Listley Court, Bridgnorth.

They took place on July 17 and between July 24 and 27 respectively.

Smith faces a final charge of taking a conveyance without authority, relating to an allegation he took a Citroen C2 without the consent of the owner.

He will face trial later this year.
