Witness appeal after man stabbed in West Bromwich
A man was seriously injured in a stabbing in West Bromwich yesterday afternoon.
Police were called to Jowetts Lane in Hateley Heath at around 2.50pm after a man in his 20s suffered chest and head wounds.
He was taken to hospital but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
The scene was cordoned off yesterday for forensic tests.
Officers are now urging anyone with information to call 101, quoting log number 1493 of August 26.
West Bromwich East MP Tom Watson said: “I’m shocked and very saddened by the news of the stabbing in Hateley Heath.
"I urge anyone with relevant knowledge of the incident to contact Sandwell Police so those responsible can be brought to justice.
"My thoughts and prayers are with the victim and their family.”
