Murder probe police clear four men after pensioner’s death
Police investigating the murder of a West Midlands pensioner have said four men arrested in connection with his death will face no further action.
However, a 28-year-old man and a 17-year-old arrested on suspicion of murdering 87-year-old Arthur Gumbley are still under investigation.
Mr Gumbley died after a violent robbery at his home in Little Aston, near Walsall, in November.
Valuable jewellery was taken in the robbery, including a purse which belonged to his late wife, gold watch and bracelet. Cash was also taken.
The four men discounted from the investigation are aged 42, 34, 33 and 29.
