£30,000 worth of fake clothes, bags and football shirts seized
A haul of almost 1,800 counterfeit goods have been seized by police.
Football shirts and fake brand handbags were just some of the items recovered by officers in Birmingham.
Police uncovered the stash of illegal items from a property in Village Road, Witton, on Tuesday. Police estimated the goods to be worth around £30,000.
Among the haul were fake Gucci bags and clothes, Ralph Lauren and Fred Perry t-shirts and Louis Vuitton bags.
Pc Matt Attwell, from West Midlands Police CID, said: "This was a huge haul of counterfeit goods which could easily have been mistaken as genuine.
"We regularly work with partners to suffocate and tackle the market of fake goods.
"Counterfeit goods not only dupe buyers but can have a huge impact on legitimate traders and brands."
A 45 year-old man was arrested on suspicion of fraud and has been released under investigation.
