A West Midlands Police spokesman said: "It is part of our on-going searches in connection with the events of the past couple of days.
"We are unable to expand any further at present."
It comes as officers will also investigate if a machete brawl in the city centre could be linked to Keelan’s death.
Men were seen brandishing weapons and fighting in Victoria Street, near Beatties, on Tuesday afternoon. Armed police swooped on the group shortly after 3.30pm.

His pregnant mother, Kelly Ellitts, said: "He was just 15, he was still a baby.
"He was an extremely loving person. He would leave me notes around the house and send me messages throughout the day asking if I was ok. We were very close.
“He did everything he could for me to make things special – we had a very close relationship."
His father, Gary Wilson, added: "Some boys when they are young you can tell them you love them and we were always like that. On Sunday I asked him if he loved me and he said ‘yes’.
“Everyone recognised what a nice person he was. For him to be gone just like that, it’s not right."
