'We are all devastated' - Keelan Wilson's heartbroken parents devastated at son's murder
The heartbroken parents of murdered schoolboy Keelan Wilson paid tribute to their son tonight saying: “He was just 15, he was still a baby.”
And as messages of support flooded in they added: “We are all devastated.”
Keelan was stabbed to death just yards away from his home in Wolverhampton on Tuesday night.
West Midlands Police has launched a murder investigation into his death in Strathfield Walk, Merry Hill.

Dozens of floral tributes have been left at the scene, including a teddy bear and a signed Castlecroft Primary School top.
Keelan’s death came just a week after his mother’s birthday, with his last post on Facebook reading: “Happy birthday mom hope u have a nice day and enjoy everything u get.”
His parents paid tribute to a ‘loving’ son, who they said had a bright future ahead of him.
His pregnant mother, Kelly Ellitts, 40, said: “Nobody deserves anything like this to happen to them. I did not think this would happen to my son.
“He was an extremely loving person. He would leave me notes around the house and send me messages throughout the day asking if I was ok. We were very close.
“He did everything he could for me to make things special – we had a very close relationship.
“He was really into his music, he liked to DJ – he was DJ-ing with his dad on Sunday. He used to be into dance.
"He had his hair cut off before to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital. He had a lot of friends.
"I have received hundreds of messages from people. He was a really clever boy, he passed all his primary school SATs. He couldn’t wait to meet my baby and he loved his younger brother.
“July 1 would have been his 16th birthday. Everyone has been contacting me – people who served him in shops, in restaurants, people who haven’t seen him for years, his friends past and present.
“They have all told me stories about how he talked about his little brother, his dad and myself – stuff I didn’t think he would tell people.
“It still does not feel real. It’s nice people have left flowers and tributes but it is a permanent reminder to me what has happened.
“I want to thank everyone who has brought flowers. We were due to go on holiday next week and Keelan was really excited.”
His father, Gary Wilson, 47, said: “Everything Kelly has said is true, how he was as a person. Some boys when they are young you can tell them you love them and we were always like that. On Sunday I asked him if he loved me and he said ‘yes’.
“He had got a younger half-sister, a younger half-brother and a half-sister on the way. Everyone recognised what a nice person he was. For him to be gone just like that, it’s not right.
“This sort of thing needs to stop. We have got to become examples of it – it is not right.”
Ms Ellitts added: “I can’t speak about the case – but if people can come forward, the police need all the help they can get. It could be your child, it could be anyone.”
It comes as officers will investigate if a machete brawl in the city centre could be linked to Keelan’s death.
Men were seen brandishing weapons and fighting in Victoria Street, near Beatties, on Tuesday afternoon.
Armed police swooped on the group shortly after 3.30pm.
A West Midlands Police spokeswoman said: “It is too early to say but we will be exploring if this is a possibility.”
