Five remanded in custody over Jaskaran Kang murder

Five men accused of murdering Jaskaran Kang have appeared in Wolverhampton Crown Court.

Jaskaran Kang, 24, from Handsworth, was found fatally stabbed in a flat in Stourbridge Road, Brierley Hill, on January 6.

The flat was above the Mini Mart convenience store, which neighbours said he ran with his brother.

Reggie Salmon, 20, of Stourbridge Road, Dudley, Dontay Ellis, 18, of no fixed abode, and Joshua Campbell, 18, of King Edmond Street, Dudley, all appeared in court charged with Mr Kang's murder.

Two 17-year-olds, who cannot be named for legal reasons, also appeared at Wolverhampton Crown Court charged with his murder.

The five did not enter any pleas and spoke only to confirm their names, addresses and date of births at the hearing yesterday.

Members of the victim's family were present for the hearing.

The five men were remanded in custody and are due to appear at Wolverhampton Crown Court for a plea and trial preparation hearing on May 4.
