Officers today said no arrests have been made after the stabbing at Choice Cut barbers in Bushbury, Wolverhampton.

Detectives are still investigating after reports the attacker burst into the barber’s armed with a large knife.

Police attended the scene in Bushbury Lane at 1.20pm on February 8.

Witnesses said they watched as an ambulance arrived to rush a man away to the allotments in Sandy Lane, where a Midlands Air Ambulance was waiting to take him to hospital.

The victim, in his 30s, suffered a severe hand injury and is still in Birmingham’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Police cordoned off the barbers and pulled down the shutters, in order to carry out their investigation.
