Man, 31, charged with attempted murder after attack
A man has been charged with attempted murder after a disturbance at a property in Birmingham left another man fighting for his life.
Gavin Casey, aged 31, is due to before magistrates on Monday in connection with an attack at a property in Highfield Road, Washwood Heath on Friday.
Police were called to the property just before 2pm.
The 36-year-old victim was taken to hospital with severe head injuries, where he remains in a critical condition.
Casey, of Highfield Road, Washwood Heath, was arrested at around 9.30pm on the same day in the Aston area and later charged.
Police have remained at the scene in Washwood Heath over the weekend.
