Officers were out in force this afternoon for the Villa Park midday match, after trouble following the game at St Andrews, Birmingham City's home ground, in October.

Today, police reported a few isolated incidents. Five men were arrested; one on suspicion of assault, one over throwing an object onto the playing area and three for pitch encroachment.

Villa ended up winning 2-0 against the Blues, bringing the team up to second in the Championship.
