Walsall murder: Teenager stabbed to death at house party
A 19-year-old man has been stabbed to death at a house party in Walsall.
West Midlands Police have launched a murder enquiry after they were called to an address in Willows Road, Chuckery, at 1.46am today following reports of disorder at a party.
A police spokesman said: "Officers found a 19-year-old man injured. Despite the best efforts of emergency services at the scene, the man unfortunately died. He is not being named at this stage.
"Officers are this morning carrying out house to house and forensic enquiries at the scene, which remains cordoned off."
Detective Inspector Ian Wilkins from the force’s homicide team said: “Investigations are at an early stage, but there appears to have been a party at an address in Willows Road which resulted in a disorder and a young man tragically losing his life.
"I would urge the person or persons responsible for the stabbing to come forward and hand themselves in.
"The police will find out who is responsible and I would ask them to search their conscience and come and talk to us as soon as possible."
This morning a corner of Willows Road remained cordoned off, with police tape around the house where the stabbing happened, as forensics detectives scoured the area for evidence.
Anyone with information or who was at the party is asked to contact officers on 101. Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111 or at crimestoppers-uk.org
