Aaron Croft, of Webb Crescent in Dawley, admitted one charge of burglary of a house in Malinslee when he appeared at Shrewsbury Crown Court on Monday to have the case heard.

The court heard that during the theft, on October 2, cash, a TV, laptop, clock and digital alarm were taken from the property.

A sentencing hearing on the 32-year-old was suspended until November 17 to allow for an update to be received from the probation service on whether it thought that a rehabilitation requirement of a suspended sentence, which had been given to Croft in September for another crime commited, would still have merit after the latest incident.

Robert Edwards, defending, also said that there was dispute over the amount of cash that had been taken during the theft.
