Archie Spriggs: Mother denies murder of seven-year-old
A mother has denied murdering her seven-year-old son.
Lesley Speed appeared at Stafford Crown Court by prison video link this morning.
She is charged with the murder of the schoolboy Archie Spriggs who was found at a property in Rushbury Road, in Wall under Heywood, near Church Stretton, on September 21.
The 44-year-old pleaded not guilty to the charge and was remanded in custody.
She will face trial at Stafford Crown Court on March 9.
It is expected to last at least three weeks.
