Suspected drink and drug driver arrested after crash
A man has been arrested on suspected drink and drug-driving offences in Wednesfield.
The man was stopped by officers in an unmarked police car at around 10.10pm on Saturday night.
He was stopped on the island of the A4124 Wednesfield Road close to Bentley Bridge.
He was arrested by officers who then searched his car.
Police found a quantity of what was believed to be class A drugs in the red Audi, officers said.
Tweeting about the incident on Saturday night, @WednesfieldWMP said: "Another pursuit through Wednesfield today suspected drunk & drugged driver arrested after crash, found with suspected Class A drugs."
Earlier in the day, Wednesfield police chased a gang of suspected shoplifters along Nechells Lane before making four arrests and seizing vehicles and suspected stolen goods.
