Mansoor Mahmood murder: Prime suspect Niron Parker-Lee arrested over Brierley Hill killing
One of the most wanted men in the West Midlands was arrested this afternoon over the murder of a father outside a takeaway on Brierley Hill High Street.
Niron Parker-Lee has been sought by police over the 2016 killing of Mansoor Mahmood, who was stabbed in the stomach outside Dixi Chicken.
This afternoon, West Midlands Police said Parker-Lee was arrested from an address in Northfield, Birmingham, just after 4.30pm on suspicion of murder.
He remains in custody for questioning.
A £6,000 reward had been offered in the wake of the killing, which happened on October 15.
The victim met his wife Aisha at Sandwell College in 2012. They had two children. The oldest, Isa is three, while Awais turned two earlier this year.
Aisha told a press conference earlier this year: "Mansoor was a loving, caring husband, father, son and brother.
"He was always the one that would make you smile. He was loyal to all his friends and family. Mansoor was an amazing father and we all loved and adored him.
"Our two children loved him to bits and always wanted to be with their daddy. They are too young to understand what has happened."
