Man arrested on suspicion of Sutton Coldfield murder
A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after an elderly woman’s body was found at her home.
The 41-year-old was detained on Saturday at a house in Ebrook Road, Sutton Coldfield at about 3.30pm.
Police found the woman's body when they called in at her home to check she was safe.
Concerns were raised after the 81-year-old woman had not been seen for some time.
A post-mortem is due to take place today.
A police spokesman said officers are not looking for anyone else in connection with the death.
