Boy, 15, among three arrested after man, 23, stabbed to death in Birmingham street

Three people, including a 15-year-old boy, have been arrested by police after a man was stabbed to death in a Birmingham street.

Two men aged 20 and 24 and the teenager are in custody in connection with the stabbing of a man in Twickenham Road, Kingstanding, yesterday afternoon.

Officers were called to reports of a fight which started in the front garden of a house at 12.56pm.

A 23-year-old man suffered fatal stab injuries. He has not being named at this stage.

Detective Inspector Jim Munro from the force’s homicide unit said: “Enquiries into the circumstances of what happened yesterday are continuing, but I would like to appeal for anyone who saw what happened or who has information to come forward and speak to my officers.

“It is believed the man was attacked in a front garden in Twickenham Road and sadly died at the scene.

“If anyone has information about what happened I would ask them to contact police on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
