Council officers in court over alleged fraud
Two council officers have appeared in court charged with conspiracy to defraud a care home resident of £60,000.
Wolverhampton Homes estates manager Joanne Lewis, aged 50, of Victoria Road, Wednesfield, and neighbourhood support officer Karen Corr, 54, of Sandy Lane, Bushbury, were both committed to appear at Wolverhampton Crown Court on August 2.
The alleged offences cover the two-year period from September 1, 2014, and August 31 last year.
Walsall magistrates granted the pair bail on condition they they do not contact their victim, any prosecution witnesses or each other and do not go near Waterside House Care Home in Moathouse Lane, Wolverhampton.
