Posing for a selfie, pulling a wheelie, speeding at 117MPH: M6 biker blasted for 'shocking' antics

A motorcyclist took a 'selfie' on the motorway and stood up with his hands in the air in what police have blasted as 'shocking' antics.

The reckless rider was also clocked rattling along at around 117mph and a pulling a wheelie on the M6 near Stafford Services.

Officers from the Central Motorway Police Group caught up with the biker at 2pm today on the northbound carriageway after Junction 12.

They had captured the dangerous stunts on camera before pulling the rider over.

The suspect will now appear before magistrates at a later date.

In a series of Tweets CMPG said: "Shocking antics caught on M6 today. Motorcyclist seen doing wheelies, no hands, standing up, speeding and even taking a selfie. Unacceptable.

"Driver stopped and dealt with for multiple offences all caught and recorded on Police vehicles video for the Magistrates to watch.

"This kind of behaviour should not be condoned, it will not be tolerated on the roads and riders will be dealt with accordingly."
