Boy, 15, fights for life after stabbing at Wolverhampton pub

A 15-year-old boy is fighting for his life after being stabbed at a Wolverhampton pub.

Police rushed to the Otter and Vixen in Old Fallings Lane, Fallings Park, around lunchtime on Monday.

Eye-witnesses said there had been a stabbing and they had seen someone being carried from the pub by paramedics to the awaiting ambulance.

“He was all wrapped up and looked in a bad way,” said one onlooker who declined to be named. A shocked barmaid had also needed treatment, it was said.

Police officers interviewed customers and staff behind closed curtains at the pub.

An unnamed witness said they thought the stabbing had happened outside the pub.

West Midlands Police said: “Police were called to the Otter and Vixen pub in Old Fallings Lane, Wolverhampton just before 1pm to a report of a serious stabbing.

“A 15-year-old boy has been taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition. Investigations are currently on-going.”

Two men were stabbed at the pub in April 2013.

The two victims, then aged 33 and 44, had both been stabbed in the back while a 37-year-old who was arrested, was also taken to hospital with a hand injury.
