Appeal as van theft video goes viral
Thieves who broke into a workman's van and stole tools were caught on video by a neighbour.
The break-in took place earlier in the week in Wyre Close, Walsall Wood, and a video showing a man rifling through the back of the company van gone viral on Facebook.
The footage has been seen more than 15,000 times after it was shared by the victim, who said he was 'fuming' and asked for the publics help to track down the people who stole from his van.
In the 25-second film a young dark-haired man dressed in a light-coloured t-shirt, jeans and dark trainers can be seen rummaging around the van.
A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: "We are investigating after a number of tools were stolen on Wednesday from a white Ford Transit van on Wyre Close, Walsall Wood, at approximately 7.40pm.
"No arrests have been made and enquiries are on-going.
"Anyone with information should call us on 101, or alternatively Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
