Masked thieves raid Dudley Spar

Two masked men raided a shop in Dudley, making off with cash, cigarettes and alcohol.

The incident happened at Spar in Russells Hall Road on Monday night at around 10.20pm.

It is situated in a precinct with others stores, including a butchers and an off licence.

No-one from the shop would comment last night.

Officers from West Midlands Police were called to the incident.

A spokesman said: "We are investigating a robbery that happened at Spar, Russells Hall Road, Dudley at around 10.20pm on 8 May.

"Two masked men entered the store and threatened the staff, demanding they hand over money.

"Cash, cigarettes and alcohol were stolen and the two men ran away from the store.

"Inquiries are on-going and officers are appealing to anyone who may have information that could help the investigation to come forward."

Last month a nearby Co-op shop was raided.

Anyone who can help police should called 101.
