Armed robbers strike at Tipton Co-op
Armed robbers raided a supermarket in the Black Country, demanding cash from terrified workers.
Three men struck at the Co-op on Upper Church Lane, Tipton, and were armed with weapons.
Police have launched an investigation and have been scouring CCTV from the shop.
The robbery happened at around 8.30pm on Thursday.
West Midlands Police spokesman Craig Hughes said: "Police were called to reports of a robbery at Co-op, Upper Church Lane, Tipton.
"Three offenders, all believed to be carrying weapons, demanded money from staff and escaped with a quantity of cash.
CCTV has been recovered and forensic investigators scoured the store for evidence. Anyone with information can call police on 101."
