Black Country Coroner's Court was told yesterday that Tina Billingham, from Granville Road, Cradley Heath, had suffered two stab wounds – one to the heart and another to her stomach and liver.

Senior coroner's officer, Stephen Binsley, said the 54-year-old divorced mother was carried from a van into the medical centre on Hawes Lane at around 3.50pm on February 6.

"Paramedics attended but after being taken to Russells Hall Hospital she was pronounced deceased," said Mr Binsley.

The post mortem concluded that she had died from the stab wounds.

Ronald Cooke, aged 54, of Granville Road, Cradley Heath, has been charged with her murder and is due to appear at Wolverhampton Crown Court on April 11.

Senior coroner for the Black Country, Mr Zafar Siddique, said: "I am suspending this inquest until the conclusion of the trial, at which point I will decide whether it needs to come back to this court."
