Investigation into triple Wolverhampton stabbing is shelved

Investigations into a triple stabbing in a leafy Wolverhampton suburb have been put on hold by police pending any fresh information.

Three Kurdish men were seriously injured in the attack in Goldthorn Hill, Goldthorn Park in August.

A manhunt was launched after a car was seen speeding away.

But West Midlands Police have now brought a halt to their investigation.

A spokesman for the force, said: "The investigation has been filed pending further information coming to light."

Following the incident police said a dark-coloured saloon type car had been seen driving away at speed from the scene.

Officers were flagged down by a member of the public in Goldthorn Hill in the early hours of August 6.

Two of the men were found lying in the road while the third was discovered in the back garden of a house just 40 metres away.

All three of the wounded men – aged 27, 31 and 36 – were treated by paramedics before being taken to hospital.
