Man found injured after alleged attack in Rowley Regis forcing road closure

A man was found injured on the floor after an alleged attack which forced a Rowley Regis road to be closed.

The man, aged in his 30s, was discovered with injuries to his face following the reports of the assault yesterday afternoon.

He was taken to hospital where his condition is described as stable.

A 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault and is currently in custody.

Police were called to the scene at around 2.30pm to Ross near Britannia Park.

Part of the road was sealed off near Churchill Drive while police began their investigations.

Officers searched the scene and made door-to-door inquires.

Investigations are ongoing and anyone with information is urged to call Detective Sergeant Leighton Shingles from Force CID on 101.
