Police close down suspected Kidderminster drugs den
Police have closed a suspected drugs den in Kidderminster following complaints from neighbours.
Officers from the Wyre Forest Safer Neighbourhood Teams served the closure order on the occupants of 52 Albert Road.
Under the order officers have the power to evict occupants who will not be allowed to return for three months.
It follows the arrest of seven people after officers executed drugs warrants at eight addresses in Kidderminster the day before. Five men, aged between 34 and 46, and two women, aged 27 and 50, were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply controlled drugs when officers attended properties in Albert Road, Park Street and Bewdley Road.
They have all been released on police bail until December 15, pending further enquiries.
The order was granted under section 80 of the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014.
