Crackdown after Walsall arson attacks
A crackdown has been launched after eight arson attacks in an area Walsall in two months.
In September and October firefighters were called out to 40 incidents in the neighbouring wards of Bentley and Darlaston, in Walsall.
It is believed that 20 per cent of these were deliberate fires.
Six of the arson attacks concerned rubbish, including two incidents at George Rose Park, while two cars were set on fire.
An area of Walsall has been blighted with eight arson attacks in two months.

Nicola Holmes, Walsall Council manager for the area, said: "Crews continue to educate school children, local clubs and have a targeted approach to drive down these incidents."
Other incidents attended during the two-month period included two accidental house fires, both caused by smoking materials.
There were also seven road traffic collision which crews were called out to.
Eight incidents were put down to false alarms either due to faulty equipment or people calling with good intentions.
