Appeal after man beaten unconscious on canal towpath

FRONT PANEL A man was battered unconscious by two thugs on a canal towpath in Kidderminster.

West Mercia Police has launched an appeal after the assault which left the victim with facial, shoulder and arm injuries.

The attack happened between 4.30pm and 5pm on Monday ,September 5.

The victim was assaulted by two unknown men shortly after arriving at the canal towpath.

It is believed he may have been followed at some point from the Kidderminster library, through the Market Street car park, along the small footbridge over the river, or as he was passing Tesco.

The victim, in his 40s, was found unconscious by a member of the public.
