Brothers in crime: Thousands of pounds of drug dealer's cash stuffed in bedroom drawer

Thousands of pounds in cash is seen stuffed in bedside drawers after police raided a drug dealer's house.

Police stormed the house after a tip-off from the public that brothers Hassan Yousaf and Zain Islam were involved in crime.

They found wads of cash totalling £18,000 hidden in two bedside cabinets and the key to a BMW parked nearby which had a jacket carrying £15,000 of cocaine and heroin.

The jacket had Yousaf's DNA on it, and his fingerprints were found on drugs packaging.

He was jailed for three years after admitting possessing drugs with intent to supply, and money laundering, at Birmingham Crown Court.

Brother Zain Islam, 21, admitted money laundering and was handed a three month prison sentence.

Police raided their home on Bankes Road, Small Heath, Birmingham, on January 15 this year

Pc Chris Hollands said: "Local people were rightly concerned and disgusted.

"They did the right thing in passing those suspicions to us; we've acted on that information and now both have been handed prison sentences.
