Parked car wrecked as van ploughs into it in Sedgley street

This parked car was written off when a van smashed into it in Sedgley this morning

The driver of the blue van, believed to be a Renault, fled the scene according to West Midlands Fire Service.

One crew from Dudley fire station and one crew from Bilston fire station attended the scene at around 6.30am. A total of 10 firefighters attended.

A spokesman for WMFS said: "It was two private motor vehicles in collision. There were no persons trapped. One man fled the scene of the accident. Crews made the vehicles safe as they waited for police."

Firefighters left shortly after 7.15am.
