Teenage girl attacked by dogs in Kidderminster

A teenage girl was bitten in an attack by two dogs on a busy road in Kidderminster.

Police are urging the owner of the dogs to come forward as an investigation is launched into the attack.

The 17-year-old girl was walking with a friend when the unaccompanied dogs attacked.

They caused puncture wounds to her leg, cuts and abrasions and a wound to her thumb.

It happened at around 4.50pm on Monday near the traffic lights at the junction of Chester Road North and Birmingham Road.

The dogs involved were a Staffordshire bull terrier type, tan or ginger in colour, and the other was a similar breed but larger and white in colour.

A number of motorists who were in stationary traffic sounded their horns when they saw what happened.

Police hope motorists will come forward to help with the investigation. .
