A huge haul of DIY equipment, which may have been destined for selling at car boot sales, was seized from a house by the force in Operation Magpie last month.

Drills, trimmers, pressure washers, car parts, cutting equipment and other tools, with an estimated worth of £20,000, were seized from a property on Johnson Road, Short Heath.

A 47-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods.

A smaller amount of property was recovered in a linked raid in Walsall.

The haul is going on display today at Bilston Police Station, Railway Street, between 4.30pm and 7pm, and victims of crime are invited to go along to see if they come across anything they have had stolen.

Wolverhampton CID posted a picture of an Alko scythe mower that had been recovered on Wednesday.

A West Midlands Police spokesman said: "

If you'd like to come along to identify your property, please bring proof of identity as well as your crime reference number.

"Please note, any property stolen after Thursday 18 February will not be available to view," they added.

Police are also urging anyone with information about any of the stolen goods to call Operation Magpie on 101 with the extension 8713144.
