Man stabbed at Kidderminster petrol station

A man was taken to hospital after being stabbed at a petrol station near Kidderminster.

A man in his 50s suffered injuries to his face, chest and hand which police believe were caused by a bladed weapon following an 'altercation' in Franche Road, Wolverley.

West Mercia Police has launched an investigation following the attack which happened between 5pm and 6pm on Sunday.

The force said attacker and victim are believed to be known to each other and there was not thought to be a threat to the public.

A senior paramedic officer in a rapid response vehicle and an ambulance crew attended.

Detectives are reviewing CCTV of the forecourt and have appealed for anyone with information to call 101.
