Caught on CCTV: Woman sought after racial assault in Wolverhampton supermarket

This is the woman police would like to speak to after a worker was racially assaulted at a Wolverhampton city centre supermarket.

The 31-year-old woman was working on the self-service checkout in Asda when she accidentally cleared away a basket which had a mobile phone in it.

The owner of the phone became abusive, shouting racist slurs and pushing the shop assistant before leaving the store in Jack Hayward Way.

Anyone with information on the assault which happened at 8.30pm on Tuesday, November 24, should contact Detective Constable Andrew Hiles at Wednesfield police station on 101. Alternatively contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
