Wolverhampton Pc to stand trial over rape claim
A Wolverhampton police officer will face trial for rape at Wolverhampton Crown Court next year.

Pc Ben Clay was arrested and suspended from his position at Wolverhampton police after the allegation was made by a woman on January 28 this year.
District judge Michael Wheeler bailed the 39-year-old at Dudley Magistrates Court, with conditions imposed that he does not contact the complainant or witnesses.
The offence is said to have happened between June 1 and June 30 last year. The officer, who has worked in Whitmore Reans, was charged in October.
