Jail likely for Bilston drug dealer
A drug dealer has been warned a prison sentence is 'highly likely' after he admitted counts of supplying cannabis and offering to supply cocaine.
Reece Cherrington, 21, of Bradley, Bilston, appeared before Birmingham Crown Court for a short hearing.
He pleaded guilty to six counts of supplying cannabis between October 8 and November 10 2014.
Cherrington, of Wallace Road, also admitted to a single count of offering to supply cocaine on November 11 2014.
Mr Simon Hanns, defending, told the court that after his client had made the offer he had decided not to go through with the deal.
The case was adjourned for a pre-sentence report.
Judge Francis Laird QC said: "It is highly likely you will receive a custodial sentence but the report will help to determine that."
Judge Laird said a date had not been set for when Cherrington would be sentenced but it was likely to be next January.
Also appearing before the court, in a separate hearing, was 27-year-old Kelly Jesson, of Grace Road, Tipton.
She pleaded guilty to one count of conspiring with others unknown to supply crack cocaine.
The court was told the offence had taken place between June 8 and December 3 2014.
Jesson spoke only to confirm her personal details and enter her plea during the short hearing.
Her case was also adjourned for a pre-sentence report.
A psychiatric report has also been commissioned.
Judge Laird said Jesson would be sentenced in late January 2016.
Police at the court said both Cherrington and Jesson had been arrested as part of operation Spring Safer Six, a drugs and crime clampdown by police and Sandwell Council.
