Stourbridge woman charged with GBH after men infected with HIV

A Stourbridge woman is due in court charged with five counts of GBH after men were infected with HIV.

Sarah Ward will appear in court this morning charged with five counts of causing grievous bodily harm to three men.

The 41-year-old from Church Ward Close, was arrested in May 2015 following an allegation she had unprotected sex with a man without disclosing she was HIV positive.

Since her arrest, detectives from the force's Public Protection Unit have received similar complaints from two other men. The allegations date from 2000 to 2014.

Ward is due to appear before Wolverhampton Magistrates' Court. Anyone with concerns should contact their doctor in the first instance.
