Mugger fractures pensioner's hip in West Bromwich High Street attack
A pensioner was dragged along the street by her neck chain by a mugger trying to grab it from her on West Bromwich High Street.

The victim, 77, was left with a fractured hip when she was targeted at the junction with Trinity Way as she was waiting to cross the road.

The man tried to snatch an elderly woman's neck chain and dragged her for several yards when the chain did not break.
Passers-by rushed to her aid and the man ran off, making his getaway in a waiting black Vauxhall Astra.
PC Stephen Foy said: "The force of the attack left the woman with a fractured hip which left her in hospital for several weeks. The shock of the incident has had a devastating effect on her.
"We have trawled CCTV from the area around the incident and taken statements from witnesses and now I am hoping that someone will recognise the man and get in touch."
It happened on September 10 at 1.30pm, but details were only released today.
PC Foy can be contacted on 101 or via Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
